Photography has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember. No matter where I was in life, it was it was always there for me — a way to slow down, stay present, and make sense of the world around me. Through photography, I learned how to really see: light, emotion, detail, place, and the quiet beauty in everyday moments.
Over the years, I have worked across many areas of photography, which has shaped the way I approach image-making today. My current focus is studio work and travel photography, two practices that let me move between control and spontaneity, between carefully crafted environments and the unpredictability of the world as it unfolds. Both allow me to explore connection, atmosphere, and story through light.
Alongside my own work, I teach photography classes across the country, leading destination-based programs from Alaska to Puerto Rico through a continuing education program at Hudson County Community College. Teaching has become an important extension of my practice. It allows me to share not only technical skills, but also the deeper experience of photography as a way of noticing, interpreting, and being present.
Creating my own photo studio, Palm Studio has also been an important part of my journey, giving me a place to further explore studio photography while creating space for creativity, collaboration, and community. Whether I’m in my own studio, traveling, or teaching in the field, photography continues to be the constant presence that connects my work, my life, and the way I move through the world.
